The crop loan outlay for the year 2017-18 is expected to be around Rs 58,662 crore, an increase of around Rs 7,000 crore from last year’s outlay of Rs 51,235 crore. However, but PSU Banks have made mockery of Nabard target even Rs.10,000/- which was announced on 11th June  as emergency relief as part of loan waiver to be within week was not been started till 15th July ,intentionally acting interest against of the dying farmers , surprising 11 district central cooperative banks (DCCBs) which were  finding  to meet their targets in view of their economic condition has disbursed more than 50%, Tiwari informed.
Tiwari alleged that nationalized banks are not cooperating with farmers and are instead seeking search reports and compulsory mortgages from farmers.
"This means that distressed farmers will be forced to go back to money lenders and fall into debt traps again. There are several cases of officers going away on leave for long stretches, leaving farmers in the lurch, though they realize that they have been directed to meet crop loan targets," he said.
This year  district cooperative banks are expected to disburse crop loans worth Rs Rs 20,000 crore while Rs 38,662 crore is expected to be disbursed by commercial and other banks. The share of nationalized banks for crop loan targets has increased to 70 per cent, VNSSM will ask finance minister Arun Jaitly to look in to  anti-farmer policies of the public sector banks (PSBs) and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has been  updated about seriousness on the issue  about noncooperation PSUs banks  to make   the state finance and cooperation depts. "If any farmer commits suicide for not being given loans by these banks, the Mission will treat the case as culpable homicide and seek action against the concerned officer," Tiwari said today.
"Nationalized banks are hostile to farmer issues and are working against farmers interests," he claimed.
